Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Lodi is a wine town with vineyards pressed right up to its edges, and its streets are easy for a van: flat, mostly wide, with a driveway in front of most homes. Downtown, near the arch at Pine and Sacramento streets, lots are older and narrower, and there the groomer parks at the curb. Either way the van needs no hose and no outlet. Without it, a salon visit means a drive along Kettleman Lane or Highway 99 to drop your dog off, a couple of hours of waiting, and a second drive to collect. With it, you hand your dog over at the front door, and about two hours later your dog comes back clean, dry and brushed, with no car ride at all. The van carries its own warm water and power, so the bath is just as warm on a foggy morning in January, and on a 100-degree afternoon in July the whole groom happens indoors, out of the sun.

Salon day vs. Wow day

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Angel has been out service tech for 3.5 years..helping us keep our Bernese Mountain pup fresh. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business and Angel. He's patient kind and knows this "stressed out pup" better than anyone.. excellent overall working with this group. A service we grown to love!

Fernanda is amazing and is the only person I trust to care for chewy and my late dog, Butter. Chewy is currently 14.5 and has laryngeal paralysis, and cannot stand for very long. The last time I took him to pets mart for grooming, the groomer let him attempt to jump on the table which resulted in him tweaking his back. After that experience we decided to never go back and Fernanda takes perfect care of him. She works with him through the difficulties he has during a groom. I cannot thank her enough.

Came straight to my door, was very patient and gave my cat a bath and haircut. He looks great. I know cats are hard to deal with and they did a great job. Most definitely will be using their services again.

My dog Max loves being groomed now. This is the second time I've used Wow My Dog, and the groomer Emerson is fantastic. Max doesn't always like everybody, but he loves Emerson, which makes the experience less stressful for him. The cut is great and I couldn't be happier. I also like that I get to choose the same groome each time I've used them

Thank you **Lucas David** for doing such a fabulous job grooming my German Shepherd, Tilly. This was her first professional groom, so she was nervous but you handled her perfectly. And you managed to trim her nails!!! Wow, I'm so impressed and happy. Thanks again!

Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Dog parks
Beckman Park, at 1426 West Century Boulevard, is where Lodi's dogs run. The city lists two dog parks there, a main one and a small dog park for dogs of 30 pounds or less, both at the corner of Ham Lane and Century. That second gate matters if you share a home with a Chihuahua or a senior Shih Tzu: play stays with dogs their own size. The park also has a drinking fountain, restrooms and picnic areas, so a long morning there is easy. A dry season of dog-park play leaves dust deep in the coat and grass seed in the feet, and that is usually when the bath gets booked.

Snapshot 02 · Grove
Micke Grove Regional Park, at 11793 North Micke Grove Road just south of town, began as a gift from a Lodi farmer, William G. Micke, and today covers 132 acres: the zoo, a Japanese Garden with a koi pond, and Wortley Lake, three acres with a 40-foot fountain. The county's rules are short. Dogs must be licensed and on a leash no longer than six feet, there is a small fee per pet, and nobody wades into the lake, dogs included. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at sunset. Leaf litter and dry grass are what come home in the coat.

Snapshot 03 · Paperwork
In Lodi, every dog or cat older than four months needs a city license, under the Municipal Code. For a spayed or neutered pet it costs $10 a year, and you need proof of a current rabies vaccination to buy it. Licenses are sold at the Lodi Animal Shelter, 1345 West Kettleman Lane. The tag has to stay fastened to the collar or harness at all times, which is also the quickest way home for a dog that slips out the gate.
City of Lodi pet licensingGroomer's note, coat care around Lodi: Lodi coats know the vineyard season. Through summer the dry grass at the end of every vineyard row, along the canals and on the empty lots turns to foxtails, whose barbed seed heads slip into ears, noses and the skin between the toes, so the groomer checks all three at every visit. Harvest dust settles into double coats in late summer, and the winter tule fog keeps a long coat damp underneath for days, which is how mats begin. A warm-water bath, a full blow-dry and a thorough brush-out clears the dust and the damp, and doodles and long coats stay easy on a steady schedule.

All of Lodi, in both ZIP codes, 95240 and 95242: Downtown, the Eastside and Westside, the streets around Lodi Lake, Century Meadows, Reynolds Ranch and the neighborhoods off Kettleman Lane and Lower Sacramento Road. Stockton, Acampo, Galt and French Camp run on the same Stockton Area routes. Travel comes included in the groom price for every Lodi address; send the full address with your booking and we confirm it.
Yes. On older downtown blocks the groomer parks at the curb in front of your house or as close as the street allows, and the van needs no hose or outlet from you: it brings its own warm water and power. It stays about 120 minutes, nearer 180 for a large dog. If your block has time limits or a tight spot, mention it when you book and we plan the space before the day.
Every four to six weeks is a good place to start, and closer to four in foxtail season. The dry grass at the ends of the rows and along the canals drops barbed seed heads that work into paws, ears and noses, so check those spots after each summer walk. At every visit your groomer starts with a long warm-water rinse to lift the dust, then blows the coat dry right down to the skin and looks over the feet and ears before your dog goes back inside.
Yes, at every Lodi address. Cat grooming happens in the same calm van, with one groomer and one cat and no dogs on board. A Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. If your cat's coat clumps behind the ears or under the belly, regular visits keep it smooth; carry yours out in a carrier and the groomer follows your cat's lead.
