What you stop doing
Stockton is a big city laid out flat and wide, and the drive is the part of a salon visit nobody misses. A drop-off on one side of town and a pick-up two hours later can swallow an afternoon on March Lane or Interstate 5. The van turns that around: it parks in your driveway or at the curb, your dog walks out the front door into a one-on-one groom, and walks back in clean, dry and brushed. Summer is the other reason. Stockton afternoons run long and hot from June into September, so the whole groom happens inside the van, out of the sun, and your dog never sits in a parked car waiting for a turn. In winter the valley fog can hang over town all morning; the van carries its own warm water and power, so the bath is just as warm on the greyest day of January. Behind a gate? Send the code and your guest-parking rule when you book.

Salon day vs. Wow day
We book 8AM–8PM, seven daysThe four steps
NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Arrived before the arrival time, which we appreciated, and were ready to go straight to work to take our dog. For context; our dog is an Australian shepherd weighing 40-50lbs, doesn't like the blow dryer. Our dog came out looking beautiful, well groomed, smelling fresh, and wearing a cute bandana. We also requested a trim, she has a double coat so they didn't over do it per our request. It was our first time using Wow! My Dog, and the team was great in communicating with us.

From the start, Ingrid and team were extremely responsive and communicative. We had (at the time) 5 month old puppies and it was their first time so I wanted them to have a good experience. We had Mauricio and he was amazing! Very attentive and took good care of our pups.

Marco was excellent with my elderly Pomeranian. Highly recommend this service. They are great communicators and very thoughtful. A great grooming option that comes right to your door! Definitely will be using them from now on!

Felipe did a great job with my 3 dogs. They don't get a lot of exposure to other people but he was patient and they turned out beautifully. They look like they absolutely enjoyed it too thank you while my dog.

Local guide · Groomer's snapshots
Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Parks
Stockton keeps three places where a dog may run free: Barkleyville, a dog-only park on Feather River Drive with separate fenced areas for big and small dogs, and the dog parks inside Faklis Park on Cosumnes Drive and Weston Park. In every other city park the leash stays on, by city code. Parks open an hour before sunrise and close an hour after sunset, which is handy in July: the best dog-park runs here happen early or late, while the ground is still cool. Fine dry-season dust is what rides home in the coat, and a few weeks of it is usually what books the bath.

Snapshot 02 · Trails
Shumway Oak Grove Regional Park is the county's 180-acre park on Eight Mile Road, near Spanos Park West, and it is the north side's long walk. The Mi-Wuk Trail runs a mile and a half through the old grove trees, the Yokuts Trail adds an accessible quarter-mile, and there is a 10-acre lake and a nature center. County rules are clear: dogs licensed and on a leash no longer than six feet, at all times, with a small pet fee on top of parking. The gates open at 8 a.m. and close at sunset. Acorn caps, dry leaves and lakeshore silt are the usual souvenirs, and the groomer works them out before the shampoo.

Snapshot 03 · Access
The city sweeps every residential street every other week from January through September, and every week from October through December, while the leaves come down. Sweepers work between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the city asks you to keep cars, boats and trailers off the street on service day. For the groom that is simple: the van takes your driveway, so a sweep day never gets in the way. Downtown, by the waterfront and on the busier blocks around the Miracle Mile, tell us about parking when you book and we plan the spot before the day.
City of Stockton street sweepingGroomer's note, coat care around Stockton: Stockton coats meet two seasons that work against them. Summer is long, hot and dry, the grass along the levees and empty lots turns to foxtails, and those barbed seed heads work into ears, noses and the skin between the toes, so the groomer checks all three on every visit. Winter brings fog and wet lawns, and a damp double coat starts to mat from the skin out. A warm-water bath and a thorough blow-dry clears the summer dust and the winter damp alike, and doodles and long coats stay easiest on a steady schedule.

Every Stockton ZIP code we cover, north to south: Spanos Park and Spanos Park West, Brookside, Lincoln Village, Country Club, the Miracle Mile, Downtown, Quail Lakes, Weston Ranch and Morada. The same vans run to Lodi, French Camp, Galt and Acampo. Travel is part of the groom price at every address in the area; send the full address with your booking and we confirm it.
Yes, and it is one of the best times for one. The groom happens inside the van, not on your lawn, so your dog is out of the sun from start to finish, and there is no ride across town in a hot car or wait in a salon. Plan on about 120 minutes, closer to 180 for a large dog. A thick double coat holds heat when the dead undercoat stays in, so a full brush-out matters more in summer than any other season; ask your groomer about a shorter trim for long coats, and book a morning slot if your dog runs warm.
In your driveway, which is where it parks anyway. Stockton asks residents to keep cars off the street on sweep day, and the van needs nothing from the curb: it brings its own warm water and power and stays put for the length of the groom. If you have no driveway, or you live downtown or behind a gate, tell us when you book and we find the spot before the day. Your groomer texts when they are on the way.
Yes, anywhere in Stockton we cover. Cat grooming takes place in the same quiet van with one groomer and no dogs on board. The Cat Bath is a flat $140 and the Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, with the same care as the matching dog package. Long-haired cats that shed heavily through the valley summer settle into a regular schedule nicely; tell us how your cat feels about handling and the groomer lets them set the pace.
