Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Concord is big and spread out, and a salon run here is a real errand: out to Clayton Road or Willow Pass, find parking, come back two hours later and do it again. The van turns that into a knock on the door. Most Concord homes have a driveway, from the ranch streets of Sun Terrace and Holbrook to the newer cul-de-sacs below Mount Diablo in Dana Estates and Crystyl Ranch, so the groomer pulls in, levels up and starts the warm water. The tank is heated in the van, so the bath runs warm on a frosty January morning in Clayton Valley, and in the long dry summer the groomer works in the shade of the van instead of out on the hot concrete. In the apartments and townhomes along Monument and near the BART stations, tell us where the guest parking is when you book and we settle the spot before the day. Your dog stays home the whole time.

The groom happens at your curb, so the drive, the drop-off and the pickup fall off your to-do list.
Salon day vs. Wow day

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Love this grooming company. my dog always looks exactly like I wanted her to look. they always get it right and my pepper gladly goes with them. don't like to go to grooming facilities. it costs more and it's very noisy. this way there is little or no stree on my dog and me for that matter

Camilo did a great job with out pup! Even though she was scared of the dryer, he didn't force her to dry. If I could rate 10 out of 10 I would.

From the start, Ingrid and team were extremely responsive and communicative. We had (at the time) 5 month old puppies and it was their first time so I wanted them to have a good experience. We had Mauricio and he was amazing! Very attentive and took good care of our pups.

Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Parks
Concord's off-leash dog park is the Paw Patch, a fenced area inside Newhall Community Park, 126 acres along Galindo Creek off Newhall Parkway, south of Clayton Road. It keeps park hours, dawn to dusk, stays closed on Thursdays until 3 p.m. for maintenance and shuts in wet weather; the city's rain hotline, 925-671-3479, says whether it is open. Dogs under 30 pounds have their own side, and dogs over 30 are not allowed in it for any reason. The large-dog side takes two dogs per handler and no more than 30 dogs at once. Everyone carries a leash, every dog wears a current license tag, and digging is out.

Snapshot 02 · Trails
The Iron Horse Regional Trail begins in Concord near Highway 4 and runs south about 32 miles, through Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville and Dublin, to Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton. It follows a Southern Pacific right-of-way laid in 1891 and abandoned in 1978, so the grades stay gentle, and it is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dogs are welcome, on a leash: the East Bay Regional Park District lists the Iron Horse among its paved multi-use trails where a dog stays on a leash of six feet or less, with bikes and strollers sharing the path. A long walk on it is mostly pavement, which keeps nails short and pads tough, and a little dusty after a dry week.

Snapshot 03 · Downtown
Todos Santos Plaza is the square at the heart of downtown Concord. Its farmers' market runs every Tuesday of the year from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the first hour set aside for seniors and others at greater risk, and again on Thursdays from June through September, 4 to 8 p.m., when Music & Market brings live music to the plaza at 6:30. If your morning walk ends with a loop of the market, the groom can wait for the afternoon: the van comes to you any day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., so pick the window that fits around it.
Downtown events and farmers' market, City of ConcordGroomer's note, coat care around Concord: Concord summers are long, hot and dry, and the open grass around Newhall Park, Lime Ridge and the foothills turns to straw by June. That means dust in the undercoat, and foxtails in the ears, armpits and between the toes of any dog that runs through it. The first rains turn the same ground to sticky clay along Galindo Creek. A warm-water bath, full blow-out and brush-through at your driveway clears both, and the groomer checks every paw for awns. Double-coated dogs get extra time on the blow-out from spring on, when the shedding is heaviest.

All of Concord: Downtown around Todos Santos Plaza, the Monument Corridor, Sun Terrace, Holbrook and North Concord, Ygnacio Valley and the streets below Lime Ridge, and out east to Clayton Valley Highlands, Crystyl Ranch, Dana Estates and Turtle Creek by Newhall Park. Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Clayton and Martinez are on the same Diablo Valley routes, so an address on the city line is no problem. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Yes. The van needs one parking space it can hold for about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog): a guest space, a loading zone or a legal spot on the street close to your building. Tell us which when you book, along with any gate code, and the groomer plans the stop before setting out and texts when they are on the way. The van brings its own warm water and power, so nothing runs from your unit, and travel is included in the groom price for every Concord address.
A shorter schedule and a careful check. From May until the rains, every four weeks keeps a feathered or doodle-type coat short enough around the feet, ears and armpits that awns have less to grab. At every visit your groomer looks between the toes, inside the ears and along the belly, brushes out whatever the grass left behind and tells you if a foxtail looks embedded, which is a job for your vet. The warm-water rinse and full blow-out lift the summer dust out of the undercoat too.
Yes, at every Concord address, apartments and townhomes included. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet, self-contained van, one-on-one with no dogs around: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. Carry your cat out in a carrier and the groomer takes it from there; long-haired cats that shed through the hot Concord summer do well on a regular schedule.
