Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
In Antioch, a salon visit usually means two runs on Highway 4, one to drop off and one to pick up, and Highway 4 makes every trip longer than the map says. The van removes both. South of the freeway, the neighborhoods along Lone Tree Way, Dallas Ranch and Deer Valley were built with wide streets and two-car driveways, so the groomer pulls in, parks level and gets the warm water running. In Rivertown and the older blocks near the river, where the lots are smaller, we ask about the curb in front of the house and plan the stop. The van brings its own heated tank, so the bath is warm from the first rinse whether it is a foggy Delta morning in January or the start of a hot July day, and the groomer works in the van's shade, never out on the driveway. Your dog walks from the front door to the van and back, clean and dry, in about two hours.

The groom happens at your curb, so the drive, the drop-off and the pickup fall off your to-do list.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Thank you **Lucas David** for doing such a fabulous job grooming my German Shepherd, Tilly. This was her first professional groom, so she was nervous but you handled her perfectly. And you managed to trim her nails!!! Wow, I'm so impressed and happy. Thanks again!

From the start, Ingrid and team were extremely responsive and communicative. We had (at the time) 5 month old puppies and it was their first time so I wanted them to have a good experience. We had Mauricio and he was amazing! Very attentive and took good care of our pups.

A perfect first experience with a new stylist/groomer at Le Pawsh with my very fearful little dog.

We LOVE the services our dog, Darwin, got. Darwin is a 12-year old Siberian husky, super sensitive. Our groomer Lucas was able to earn Darwin's trust and let Lucas clean him. Lucas did a wonderful job and we will be using his services again.

This was amazing, my dog is 11 months and barks at everyone and has never had a experience like this before but Emerson was perfect, my dog reacted to calmly to him and the service was perfect, my dog is so happy, I definitely recommend them! They deal with matted hair too!

Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Hills
Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve, at 5175 Somersville Road, covers nearly 8,533 acres of the hills above Antioch, with 65 miles of trail. From the 1860s to the turn of the century, five coal towns stood here, Nortonville, Somersville, Stewartville, West Hartley and Judsonville, and nearly four million tons of coal came out of the ground; descendants of the mining families still graze cattle on the preserve. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. in summer and 5 p.m. in winter, and parking is $5 when the kiosk is attended. Dogs on a leash may come into the Greathouse Visitor Center but not on the mine tours, and the district's rules call for a six-foot leash wherever cattle are grazing.

Snapshot 02 · Parks
Contra Loma Regional Park, entered at 1200 Frederickson Lane off Golf Course Road, is 775 acres of grassy hills around an 80-acre reservoir owned by the Contra Costa Water District, with trails that connect to Black Diamond Mines. Parking is $5 a vehicle, and from May to August the park is open 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The swim lagoon is closed, and under the park district's rules dogs stay off swim beaches and on a six-foot leash in the picnic areas and on the lawns. You can also walk in: the paved Delta de Anza Regional Trail, open to dogs, reaches Contra Loma through Antioch Community Park.

Snapshot 03 · River
Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline, at Bridgehead Road and Wilbur Avenue, is the city's open door onto the San Joaquin River, just upstream of the Nejedly Bridge on Highway 160. When the state built that bridge, Senator John Nejedly suggested reusing the pillars of the old one, and they became the shoreline's 550-foot fishing pier. Entry and parking are free, the park is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the pier around the clock. Anglers here pull out striped bass, catfish and sturgeon depending on the season, and swimming is not allowed.
Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline, East Bay Regional Park DistrictGroomer's note, coat care around Antioch: Antioch dogs live between dry hills and the river. Summer turns the grass at Black Diamond and Contra Loma to straw, and a dog that runs through it comes home with dust in the undercoat and foxtails in the ears and between the toes. Winter brings mud and the damp of the Delta into the coat instead. A warm-water bath, full blow-out and brush-through at your driveway handles both, and the groomer checks every paw and ear for awns. Heavy shedders get a long blow-out through the hot months to pull out the loose undercoat before it lands on your floors.

Yes, the whole city: Rivertown and Downtown by the river, Hillcrest and Mira Vista, the neighborhoods along Lone Tree Way, Dallas Ranch and Deer Valley, and Sand Creek and the newer streets of Southeast Antioch. Pittsburg and Concord are on the same Highway 4 routes, so a border address is easy. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
In the morning, if you can. We groom 8AM to 8PM, seven days a week, so ask for an early window when you book and your dog is clean, dry and back inside before the afternoon heat. The whole groom happens inside the van, out of the sun, and takes about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog); the van runs on its own warm water and power, so nothing comes from your house. Travel is included in the groom price for every Antioch address.
In the dry months it fills the coat with dust and grass seed, and foxtails are the real worry: they hide between the toes, in the ears and in the armpits. Your groomer checks each of those spots at every visit, combs out what the trail left behind and tells you if anything looks embedded, which is a job for your vet. Every four to six weeks suits most hiking dogs, and the groom starts with a long warm-water rinse so the grit floats out before any shampoo goes on. In winter the same trails send dogs home with mud to the elbows, and a bath-only visit between grooms takes care of it.
Yes, at every Antioch address. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet van, one-on-one with no dogs around: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. Bring your cat out in a carrier and the groomer lets your cat set the pace; a long-haired cat that sheds through the warm months does well on a regular schedule.
