What you stop doing
San Ramon is a city of planned neighborhoods, and planned neighborhoods come with rules about where a visiting van may sit. In Windemere, Gale Ranch and the rest of Dougherty Valley, the driveways are short and the HOA usually prefers the curb on the main loop or a guest space, so we ask where your own visitors park and set up there. Around Canyon Lakes, Twin Creeks and the Bridges, gates and golf-course streets need a code or a name at the kiosk, and the groomer texts you on the way so nobody waits at the gate. On the Westside and the older streets off San Ramon Valley Boulevard, the driveway is wide and flat and the van is running warm water a minute after it stops. Whichever side of 680 you live on, your dog stays home, no ride down Bollinger Canyon Road, no crate, no waiting room. Two hours at home, then back to the couch, clean and dry.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Wow, my dog is the best Mobile grooming. This was the second time I had them groomed my dog Harley. The groomer did a really good job and Harley loves his groomer. They are the best and they are always on time.

Felipe did a great job with my 3 dogs. They don't get a lot of exposure to other people but he was patient and they turned out beautifully. They look like they absolutely enjoyed it too thank you while my dog.

First time trying mobile grooming for my nervous dog and It was amazing! Our groomer Lucas arrived earlier than scheduled which was appreciated. He did excellent and followed the inspiration picture and made Milo look adorable! My dog seemed very happy with his haircut and we will be booking again!

Thank you **Lucas David** for doing such a fabulous job grooming my German Shepherd, Tilly. This was her first professional groom, so she was nervous but you handled her perfectly. And you managed to trim her nails!!! Wow, I'm so impressed and happy. Thanks again!

Arrived before the arrival time, which we appreciated, and were ready to go straight to work to take our dog. For context; our dog is an Australian shepherd weighing 40-50lbs, doesn't like the blow dryer. Our dog came out looking beautiful, well groomed, smelling fresh, and wearing a cute bandana. We also requested a trim, she has a double coat so they didn't over do it per our request. It was our first time using Wow! My Dog, and the team was great in communicating with us.

The Groomer was patient and kind. Bossy is getting old and grumpy and he was able to trim her nails and get her nice and clean. Great experience. Thank you

Snapshot 01 · Parks
San Ramon runs three dog parks on the same rules: open dawn to dusk, dogs licensed and at least four months old, three dogs per person, the leash back on before you step out of the enclosure. Memorial Park, at Bollinger Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, has enclosures for large and small dogs on decomposed granite inside a 16-acre park. Del Mar Dog Park, at Del Mar Drive and Pine Valley Road, is 1.21 acres of tan bark beside the Iron Horse Trail. Bark & Ride, at Stoneleaf Road and Bollinger Canyon Road, is the city's largest, grass for big dogs and decomposed granite for small ones, and doubles as a park-and-ride lot.

Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, 6,050 acres of ridge and canyon, is entered from the Bollinger Staging Area at 18012 Bollinger Canyon Road, open from 8 a.m. until between 5:30 and 8 p.m. depending on the month. The East Bay Regional Park District keeps dogs on a six-foot leash within 200 feet of the staging area and wherever cattle graze, lets them off leash on the open trails under voice control, three per walker without a permit, and keeps them out of the Las Trampas Stables altogether. Bishop Ranch Open Space Regional Preserve, 806 acres with a trailhead on Morgan Drive, is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. with no parking fee and nothing at the top but trail and view.

San Ramon's residential permit parking zones are marked by street signs and curb paint, and the police enforce them 365 days a year, so if your street is one of them, your driveway is the van's spot or we book the time your guest permit covers. Every street also has an assigned sweep day, and the city asks that cars and trailers come off the curb for it. Neither is a problem for a two-hour groom once we know; the 72-hour rule for vehicles on public streets never comes into it. Tell us about your street when you book and the groomer arrives with a plan.
San Ramon Police parking and traffic FAQsGroomer's note, coat care around San Ramon: A San Ramon dog's coat follows the hills. From late spring to fall, Las Trampas, Bishop Ranch and the Iron Horse Trail leave dust, dry grass seed and foxtails in feathering and between the toes, and the 4.24 flat, paved miles of the trail through town add road grit; after the first rains the same trails turn to clay that dries hard in belly coat. A warm-water bath, a full blow-out and a thorough brush-out clears both and lifts the undercoat that a double-coated dog sheds through the long Tri-Valley summer. On a cold, foggy valley morning the warm water the van carries is the whole point: your dog is warm from the first rinse and goes back inside dry.

All of San Ramon, on both sides of 680: Windemere, Gale Ranch and the rest of Dougherty Valley, the Bridges, Canyon Lakes and Twin Creeks, Old Ranch and the Crow Canyon and Bollinger Canyon streets, Norris Canyon, the Westside and the homes around Bishop Ranch. Danville, Dublin and Pleasanton are on the same routes, so an address near the Danville line or the county line is no problem. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Wherever your own guests park for a couple of hours: your driveway if it fits a van, otherwise a guest space or the curb on the main loop. Tell us the rule when you book and the groomer follows it, texting you on arrival and walking to your door. The van carries its own water and power, so nothing is plugged into your home, nothing runs across the sidewalk, and the groom is done in about two hours, well inside any visitor limit. If your street has a residential permit zone, say so, and we book inside the hours your guest permit covers.
Every four to six weeks through the trail seasons, and sooner after a wet winter hike. In summer the groomer combs foxtails and dry grass out of feathering, armpits and paws before the bath so nothing works deeper; after the rains the warm-water bath soaks the clay out of belly coat instead of brushing it against the skin. A trim of the feet, feathers and sanitary areas between visits gives both the dust and the mud less to hold onto. Your groomer suggests a rhythm after seeing the coat in person.
Yes, at every San Ramon address. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet, self-contained van, one-on-one with no dogs around, for a flat $140 for a Cat Bath or $180 for a Cat Bath + Haircut. You carry your cat out in a carrier, the groomer works at your curb, and your cat is back inside in about two hours. Long-haired cats that mat through the hot valley summer do best on a regular schedule. Tell us how your cat handles being handled when you book.
