Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Danville is a town, and it still runs like one: Hartz Avenue is the main street, and most of the houses sit on quiet loops and courts behind it. That makes the van easy. In Greenbrook, Sycamore Valley, Magee Ranch and Tassajara Ranch most drives are long enough for it, so it parks a few steps from your front door and needs nothing from the house, not a hose, not an outlet. If your street sits behind a gate, give us the code or the name for the guard when you book, and the groomer texts you on the way. Winter mornings in the valley start cold, which is why the bath runs on the warm water the van carries, from the first rinse to the last, and your dog is dried right down to the skin before stepping back inside. No drive to a salon, no crate in a back room, no second trip to collect them.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Amazing experience today with Rene! I was a bit anxious since it was the first grooming appointment for my 9-month-old Golden Retriever. She was indeed a little afraid, but Rene took exceptionally good care of her, taking the time to comfort her. She came back perfectly groomed, looking happy and with a big smile! I highly recommend !

Love this grooming company. my dog always looks exactly like I wanted her to look. they always get it right and my pepper gladly goes with them. don't like to go to grooming facilities. it costs more and it's very noisy. this way there is little or no stree on my dog and me for that matter

Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Parks
Danville's fenced off-leash park is the Canine Corral, 1.5 acres of grass inside Hap Magee Ranch Park at 1025 La Gonda Way, with separate yards for large and small dogs, benches and water. The 17-acre park was a longhorn ranch, and before that Camp Swain, a summer camp for San Francisco orphans. The Town closes the corral every Tuesday until noon to mow and rest the turf, shuts it in wet weather and keeps it closed through the winter; last season that ran from December 1 to the end of February. Dogs need a current license and shots, must be at least four months old, come three to a handler and wear the leash through the gate.

Mount Diablo rises to 3,849 feet over the east side of town, and the South Gate entrance at 2675 Mt. Diablo Scenic Boulevard is the Danville way in. Gates open at 8 a.m. and close at sunset. It is a beautiful drive and a poor dog hike: California State Parks allows dogs only in the developed areas, on a leash by day, and never on the trails or fire roads. So the long Danville dog walk tends to stay in town, on the Iron Horse Trail or the open space close to home, and the mountain stays the view from the backyard.

Snapshot 03 · Access
The Town of Danville issues residential parking permits in only two places: the East Linda Mesa and Rose Street apartments in the downtown core, and ten streets on the West Side near San Ramon Valley High School, Verona Avenue, Love Lane and Las Barrancas Drive among them. The Danville Police Department hands them out with proof of residence. Residential streets are swept once a month, major corridors twice and downtown every week. If you live on a permit street, or your sweep day lands on the groom, tell us when you book: the van uses your driveway, or we pick another day.
Residential permit parking, Town of DanvilleGroomer's note, coat care around Danville: A Danville coat carries the season. Spring and summer bring foxtails and dry seed heads from the open space and the shoulders of the Iron Horse Trail, worked into ear fur, armpits and the gaps between the toes; fall drops oak leaves and acorn grit; the first rains turn the same paths to adobe that sets like plaster in a fluffy belly. A warm-water bath, full blow-out and brush-out at your curb softens and lifts all of it, and the groomer checks ears and paws for foxtails before the van leaves. Double coats shed hard through the hot valley months, and a de-shed every few visits keeps that undercoat out of your carpets.

The whole town. That means downtown and Old Town around Hartz Avenue, the West Side near San Ramon Valley High School, Montair, Greenbrook, Sycamore Valley, Magee Ranch, Tassajara Ranch, Shadow Creek and the Crow Canyon Country Club streets. Alamo, Diablo, San Ramon and Walnut Creek are on the same routes, so a house on the town line is no problem. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Book a groom every four to six weeks while the corral is closed, and a bath-only visit in between if the walks get muddy. Winter dogs in Danville trade the dog park for leash walks along wet paths, and the clay that comes home in the belly coat and between the pads is what mats a coat fastest. The groomer soaks it loose with warm water before shampooing, dries the coat completely, and trims the feet and feathering short so the next walk has less to cling to.
Yes. The van parks in your driveway for the whole visit, so the permit rule never comes up, and if the drive is too short or too steep we agree on a legal spot with you before the day. The van brings its own water and power, a groom takes about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog), and travel is included in the groom price for every Danville address. If your street sweeping day falls on the appointment, say so and we pick another day.
Yes, anywhere in Danville. Cat grooming happens in the same self-contained van, one-on-one and with no dogs aboard: a Cat Bath is a flat $140, and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180. You bring your cat out in a carrier, the groomer takes it from there at your curb, and your cat is back inside in about two hours. A long-haired cat that sheds through the hot valley summer does best on a regular schedule; tell us how your cat takes to handling and the groomer sets the pace.
