Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
San Leandro sits between the bay and the hills, and the van fits both ends of town. Across the flats, from Washington Manor and Floresta Gardens to Mulford Gardens and Marina Faire, most homes have a driveway or a clear stretch of curb in front, so the groomer parks, levels up and has the warm water running in a minute. Up in Bay-O-Vista, above 580, the streets climb and curve, so tell us where the flattest spot near your door is and we set up there. Near the bay, many mornings start grey and cool, and a dog that comes back damp from the shoreline stays chilly; the van's own heated tank keeps the bath warm from the first rinse to the last, and the coat is dried to the skin before your dog goes back inside. In the apartments around Downtown and East 14th Street, we plan the guest space or loading zone with you before the day. Nobody drives anywhere.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Wow! This is hands down the best grooming Winston has ever had! Thank you so much, Patricia, for making him look like the cutest little rock star, pumpkin, sweet cake! We have officially found our new groomer. The booking process was super easy too, which made the whole experience even better. I couldn't be happier, highly recommend!

Camela was amazing! For my very first visit she listen to and what look I was trying to get for my dogs face. She gave me her opinion which was very helpful for me. Teddy my dog took right to her and was so comfortable with her he wanted to sleep during his appointment. She is very personable and great with animals. I was really nervous for Teddy’s first appt with WOW. My dog but I could tell within a minute or two I was really going to love Camela. Thank you for making my Teddy look so great

Wow! My dog is an amazing service. They come to you with a groomer that is skilled and kind. My dog, Ms. Lady, loves them so much that when she sees their familiar grooming van she becomes so excited. The quality of the final grooming is excellent, I feel like a dad wanting to share my kid’s wallet pics. I highly recommend!
Local guide · Groomer's snapshots
Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Shoreline
San Leandro's shoreline is the city's big backyard. Marina Park has two playgrounds, picnic areas with barbecues, open lawns, an outdoor fitness area, a one-mile par course and the city's off-leash dog park. Beside it runs the Shoreline Trail, paved and gravel, part of the San Francisco Bay Trail, heading south toward Hayward Regional Shoreline past hundreds of acres of restored seasonal wetlands full of shorebirds, waterfowl and raptors. Picnic tables and barbecues are first come, first served; group areas can be reserved through Recreation and Parks at 510-577-3462.
San Leandro Shoreline, City of San Leandro
Snapshot 02 · Bay
Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline, at the end of Neptune Drive off Marina Boulevard, is open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. with free parking. A two-mile stretch of the Bay Trail loops its edge, paved from the Neptune entrance to the Bill Lockyer Bridge, past Roger Berry's sculpture Rising Wave, a free 18-hole disc golf course and a quarter-acre garden of about 300 plants that feed overwintering monarch butterflies. Under the park district's rules, dogs stay on a six-foot leash in the picnic areas and on the lawns, and stay out of the marsh entirely, which keeps the worst of the bay mud off their paws.
Oyster Bay Regional Shoreline, East Bay Regional Park District
Snapshot 03 · Hills
From 580 in San Leandro, Fairmont Drive climbs to the marina entrance of Lake Chabot Regional Park, where parking is $5. The lake is an East Bay Municipal Utility District reservoir built in 1874 and 1875, closed to the public for 91 years and opened as a park on June 18, 1966; today it is a standby emergency water supply, so swimming is never permitted. The paved East Shore and West Shore trails add up to 3.52 miles around the water, and more than 20 miles of hiking trail connect to about 70 more in Anthony Chabot Regional Park. Gates are open longest from May through Labor Day, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Lake Chabot Regional Park, East Bay Regional Park DistrictGroomer's note, coat care around San Leandro: A San Leandro dog can see the bay and the hills on the same day. The shoreline paths and the dog park at Marina Park leave damp sand, mud and a salty smell in the undercoat, and the trails around Lake Chabot add dust, burrs and dry grass seed through the long summer. A warm-water bath, full blow-out and brush-through at your curb clears both, and the groomer checks ears and paws for foxtails at every visit. Double coats that never quite dry on a foggy bay morning get a long blow-out, so nothing is left damp against the skin.

All of San Leandro: Downtown and the blocks along East 14th Street, Estudillo Estates and Broadmoor, Bay-O-Vista and Halcyon-Foothill up toward the hills, Washington Manor, Floresta Gardens, Davis West and Bonaire across the flats, and Mulford Gardens, Marina Faire and Heron Bay by the shoreline. Hayward, San Lorenzo and Castro Valley are on the same East Bay routes, so a street on the city line is no problem. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Yes. The groomer looks for the most level spot near your door, often the top of the driveway or a flatter stretch of curb a few houses along, and the van stays there for about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog). Mention the slope and any tight turn when you book, and we plan the stop before the day. The van brings its own warm water and power, so it needs nothing from the house, and travel is included in the groom price for every San Leandro address.
Every four to six weeks suits most regulars, with a bath-only visit in between if the shoreline sends your dog home sandy or smelling of the bay. Each groom starts with a long warm-water rinse that loosens sand and salt before any shampoo, then a full blow-out to the skin, which matters on a damp bay morning, and a brush-out so nothing is left to mat. Your groomer checks ears and between the toes at every visit and suggests a rhythm once they have seen the coat.
Yes, at every San Leandro address, apartments included. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet, self-contained van, one-on-one with no dogs on board: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. Carry your cat out in a carrier and the groomer takes it from there, at your cat's pace.
