Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Turlock is a farm town that grew into a college town, and it still spreads out flat in every direction, with orchards and fields right at its edges. Most homes have a driveway, and a driveway is all the van needs. A salon trip here usually means a drive down Geer Road or Golden State Boulevard, a drop-off, a couple of hours of waiting and a second drive back. A groomer at your house cuts all of that. You walk your dog out the front door, the groomer takes it from there in a one-on-one van, and about two hours later your dog walks back in clean, dry and brushed. The weather argues for it too. July and August afternoons get properly hot, and winter brings mornings when the fog never really lifts. The van carries its own warm water and power, so the bath is warm in January and the whole groom happens indoors, out of the summer sun.

The groom happens at your curb, so the drive, the drop-off and the pickup fall off your to-do list.
Salon day vs. Wow day
We book 8AM–8PM, seven daysThe four steps
NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

After my second appointment, I am happy to say that Angel does a beautiful job on my dog. He follows my preferences so my boy looks exactly the way I like him to look. My dog is not so comfortable with a lot of people, but he is not afraid of Angel, so I feel confident he will be well taken care of. Super convenient--I wish I hadn't waited so long to try this company.

My dog Toby is 16 years old, not super friendly and quite frail. I made an appointments for the basic package with just a bath and a bit of sanitary grooming. Marco drove right up, super friendly, and took a look at Toby to see what he was working with. Toby has a small growth on his upper eyelid that creates a lot of gunk around his eye. Marco did an incredible job cleaning it up. This is the best wash I've gotten in years! Toby looks beautiful! Thank you so much Marco!

Thank you **Lucas David** for doing such a fabulous job grooming my German Shepherd, Tilly. This was her first professional groom, so she was nervous but you handled her perfectly. And you managed to trim her nails!!! Wow, I'm so impressed and happy. Thanks again!

Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.

Snapshot 01 · Dog parks
Turlock runs two off-leash dog parks. Quaile Rand Norton Park, at 500 South Berkeley Avenue, splits its dog park into a small-dog area and a large-dog area, and Swanson-Centennial Park on Pinto Way, out on the Countryside side of town, has a large dog park of its own. Inside the fence the leash can come off, but the city's rules still apply: a current license on a collar that stays on, no more than two dogs per handler, children under 14 with an adult, no females in season, and every dog vaccinated and at least four months old. A dry afternoon there sends most dogs home with dust in the coat and grass seed between the toes.

Snapshot 02 · Parks
The city looks after more than 20 parks, and Donnelly Park on Pedras Road is a big one: 40 acres wrapped around a 10-acre storm basin, with open lawns, two playgrounds, picnic areas under the trees and the skate park on the same grounds. It makes a long, flat walk for a dog that likes to sniff every corner. Most of the other parks have walking paths too, from Crane Park on Canal Drive to Christoffersen Park in the north. Lawn walks bring home cut grass and, after rain, a muddy belly; a few weeks of that is usually what books the next bath.

Snapshot 03 · Access
This season the city picks up leaves from November 2, 2026 to February 5, 2027, working through twelve zones and keeping Fridays for maintenance. Leaves go in the green container first; the overflow goes in loose piles 18 inches out from the curb, never bagged. The city also asks residents not to park in front of the house the day before, the day of and the day after their zone's pickup. For a groom that week the answer is easy: the van uses your driveway, and if there is no driveway, tell us your pickup day when you book and we plan the spot.
City of Turlock leaf pickup programGroomer's note, coat care around Turlock: Turlock coats pick up the farm country around them. Spring pollen and summer dust blow in off the fields, and by June the dry grass along the field edges and empty lots turns to foxtails, whose barbed seed heads hide in ears, noses and between the toes, so the groomer checks all three every visit. Winter fog keeps a thick coat damp for days, and that is when mats start close to the skin. A warm-water bath, a thorough blow-dry and a full brush-out clears each season's load, and long coats and doodles stay easy on a steady schedule.

Yes, all three Turlock ZIP codes, 95380, 95381 and 95382: Downtown and the Westside, Countryside, Monte Vista, the Christoffersen Parkway neighborhoods, the streets around Stanislaus State, and north and east Turlock out to where the orchards start. Ceres, Modesto, Salida and Ripon run on the same Modesto Area routes. Travel is included in the groom price for every Turlock address; give us the full address when you book and we confirm it.
In your driveway, so the leaf crews and the van never get in each other's way. Turlock asks residents to keep cars from blocking the curb the day before, the day of and the day after their zone's pickup, and the van needs nothing from the street: it carries its own warm water and power and stays about 120 minutes, nearer 180 for a large dog. No driveway? Tell us your pickup day when you book and we find a spot that keeps the curb clear.
Every four to six weeks suits most regular dog-park dogs, and a quick bath-only visit in between helps when the dust is bad. Daily play grinds dirt into the undercoat and sends foxtails into paws and ears through the dry months, so check the feet after every visit in summer. Each groom starts with a long warm-water rinse that loosens the grit before any shampoo, then a full blow-dry and brush-out, and your groomer looks over ears, nose and toes before your dog goes back inside.
Yes, anywhere in Turlock. Cat grooming happens in the same calm van, one groomer and one cat, with no dogs on board. A Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, with the same care as the matching dog package. Long-haired indoor cats shed heavily through a Turlock summer and can mat by fall, so a regular visit helps; bring yours to the van in a carrier and the groomer works at your cat's pace.
