Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Pleasant Hill sits in the middle of the valley, with Walnut Creek, Concord and Martinez on three sides, and its main roads carry everyone's traffic: Contra Costa Boulevard, Taylor Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road are busy most of the day. A salon visit means joining that traffic twice. The van leaves you out of it. Most of the city is single-family streets with a driveway out front, from Gregory Gardens near Downtown to Pleasant Oaks and the hillside blocks of Shannon Hills, so the groomer pulls in, parks and fills the tub from the van's own heated tank. The water runs warm on a frosty January morning in the valley, and on a hot August afternoon the groomer works inside the van, out of the sun. In the apartments around Downtown and Diablo Valley College, tell us about guest parking when you book and the spot is sorted before the day. Your dog never leaves the curb.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

I have nothing but great things to say. We have an anxious German shepherd and always were scared to have her groomed so we did it ourselves but she really needed to have her coat blown out- they were responsive and reassuring! We did mobile grooming and our dog had a great experience and amazing groom!

Camila was great! She showed up right on time and was very kind. I have an elderly nervous German Shepherd with sore legs and hips, and she calmed him very quickly. He came back very clean and smelling great, his nails trimmed nicely. Camila even went so far as to re-clean and dry his paws when he accidentally stepped in street water upon getting out of the van.

Revising my review. Again. We had an issue with his cut before today, but Wow MD called an offered to make it right. Had to wait a while because it's not good to groom a dog too often. Today they fixed the issue. (Mostly - the previous cut is unfixable on one leg and we're just hoping it grows back!) Giving Wow MD five stars based on today's service.

Marco was excellent with my elderly Pomeranian. Highly recommend this service. They are great communicators and very thoughtful. A great grooming option that comes right to your door! Definitely will be using them from now on!

Local guide · Groomer's snapshots
Real parks, real trails, and what they do to a coat. Notes from the groomer's side of the van.
Snapshot 01 · Parks
Paso Nogal Park, run by the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District, is open space with a 2.5-acre fenced dog exercise area, a few small picnic spots and about 63 acres of hiking trails, roughly between Taylor Boulevard, Morello Avenue and Paso Nogal Road. It has eight entrances; the main one is on Paso Nogal Road. Inside the fence there are two runs, one for dogs under 25 pounds and one for bigger dogs, with no more than four dogs per handler. Dogs must be at least six months old, vaccinated and wearing current tags, and every handler carries a leash, which goes back on outside the fence, trails included. The dog park opens at dawn on weekdays and at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, stays closed until 3 p.m. on Wednesdays for maintenance and is closed on Sundays. In the rainy season it can close for a few days to dry out.

Snapshot 02 · History
Rodgers Ranch Heritage Center is a living history museum in the middle of Pleasant Hill: a farmhouse more than 150 years old, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, on a 2.1-acre site with shade trees and gardens, and it is a busy community hub too. The Pleasant Hill Historical Society and the Contra Costa Succulent Garden Club meet there, and the program runs from gardening, canning and beekeeping to sustainable-living workshops with Sustainable Contra Costa, plus plant sales, seasonal festivals and the occasional comedy night.

Snapshot 03 · Saturdays
Pleasant Hill's farmers market sets up at City Hall all year, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. City Hall also hosts Off the Grid food trucks on Thursday nights in season and the Sunset by the Lake summer concert series, which comes back in May 2027. A Saturday that starts at the market and ends with a clean dog is easy to plan: book a groom for the afternoon, and your groomer texts when they are on the way.
Festivals and events, City of Pleasant HillGroomer's note, coat care around Pleasant Hill: Pleasant Hill dogs get two kinds of trail. The open space at Paso Nogal and the 13-acre slope of Dinosaur Hill, with its view of Mount Diablo, dry to straw by early summer, and a dog that pushes through the grass brings home dust and foxtails in the ears and between the toes. The paved Contra Costa Canal Trail, which runs past Las Juntas Park on its loop through Martinez, Walnut Creek and Concord, is cleaner underfoot, but a long walk on it still leaves the coat gritty. A warm-water bath and a careful blow-dry at your curb take it all out, and your groomer checks ears and paws for awns every visit. In winter, when wet weather closes the dog park, a bath between grooms handles the mud from the trails.

All of Pleasant Hill: Downtown and Gregory Gardens, the streets around Pleasant Oaks, Sherman Acres and Brookwood parks, Chilpancingo and Las Juntas, and the hillside neighborhoods of Shannon Hills and Paso Nogal toward Martinez. Walnut Creek, Concord and Martinez share the same routes, so a home on the city line is easy to reach. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Yes. The van needs one parking space it can keep for about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog): a guest spot, a loading zone or a legal space on the street close to your door. Tell us which when you book, along with any gate code, and the groomer settles the stop before the day and texts when they are on the way. The van brings its own warm water and power, so nothing comes from your unit, and travel is included in the groom price for every Pleasant Hill address.
Keep the coat short where foxtails catch and get it checked often. From late spring until the first rains, a trim around the feet, ears and armpits every four to six weeks leaves the grass seed little to grip, and your groomer looks between the toes, inside the ears and along the belly at every visit. Anything that looks embedded goes to your vet, never to tweezers at home. A warm-water rinse and a full blow-out also lift the trail dust out of the undercoat.
Yes, at every Pleasant Hill address, apartments included. Cat grooming happens one-on-one in the same calm van, with no dogs aboard: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. Bring your cat out in a carrier; a long-haired cat that mats in the summer heat does well on a regular schedule.
