Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Rancho Cordova is two towns split by Highway 50. North of the freeway, toward the river, Lincoln Village, Cordova Meadows and the blocks around Hagan Park are older streets with wide driveways and shade trees. South of it, Capital Village, the Villages of Zinfandel, Sunridge and Anatolia are newer, with tidy garages and homeowner associations that set their own rules for guest parking. Either way the van fits: it pulls into your driveway, your dog walks out the front door, and about two hours later your pup walks back in, clean and dry, without a ride along Folsom Boulevard to a salon or an afternoon in a cage. The van carries its own warm water and power, so the bath is warm on a cold valley morning and the house is never touched. If your association limits where a work van can stand, tell us the rule when you book and we plan the spot before the day.

Salon day vs. Wow day

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

Great experience with Luis as our groomer. We have a small goldendoodle that does not enjoy grooming. Luis did an amazing job. We're already on the schedule!

We had an incredible service with Patricia today. She was very nice and made sure to understand what kind of haircut we wanted and made it more than perfect. I love Wow my Dog and I truly recommend it. Every groomer that has seen our girl knows exactly what they are doing, they are very friendly and it clearly shows that they are professionals and really love what they do. I wish I could give you a 10 start review! You definitely have surpassed our expectations . Thank you so much.

Camilo did a great job with out pup! Even though she was scared of the dryer, he didn't force her to dry. If I could rate 10 out of 10 I would.

From the start, Ingrid and team were extremely responsive and communicative. We had (at the time) 5 month old puppies and it was their first time so I wanted them to have a good experience. We had Mauricio and he was amazing! Very attentive and took good care of our pups.

Snapshot 01 · Parks
The Cordova Recreation & Park District runs Hagan Community Dog Park at 2197 Chase Drive: nearly two and a half acres, built in 2009, split into three areas that rotate each quarter, one for small dogs, one for large dogs and one resting. It is open sunrise to sunset and closes every Thursday from sunrise to 10 a.m. for maintenance. The rules sheet asks for a healthy, vaccinated, licensed dog over four months, a handler over 18 with no more than two dogs, no food or treats inside, and, our favorite line, no grooming animals in the dog park. Fair enough: the grooming happens in your driveway.

Snapshot 02 · River
Where Sunrise Boulevard meets the American River, Sacramento County runs the Sunrise Recreation Area, upper and lower. It is open sunrise to sunset all year, parking is $8 a vehicle and goes up on summer holiday weekends, and Lower Sunrise is the busy raft launch once the weather warms. The Jim Jones Bridge links it to Sacramento Bar on the far bank, open only to people on foot, on bikes and on horseback. It is a county park, so a dog stays on a leash of six feet or less the whole visit. River water and sand dry into a gritty, stiff coat by dinnertime, which is the warm-water bath's favorite kind of job.

Snapshot 03 · Open space
Just south of the city, off Zinfandel Drive where it becomes Eagles Nest Road, Mather Regional Park covers about 1,600 acres of former Air Force land: Mather Lake, stocked with bass or trout by season, an 18-hole golf course and rare vernal pools that hold fairy shrimp and frogs. The county opens it sunrise to sunset, charges $8 a vehicle, and its leash rule covers every county park. The grassland is the part that matters for coats: by May the seed heads are dry and sharp, and they find ears, armpits and toes on the walk back to the car.
Mather Regional Park, Sacramento County Regional ParksGroomer's note, coat care around Rancho Cordova: Rancho Cordova coats carry the river and the grassland: fine sand and river water that dry stiff in a retriever's undercoat, and the dry seed heads of the Mather fields and the levee edges from May onward. A warm-water bath and a full blow-out at your house rinses the grit out down to the skin and dries the coat all the way through, and the groomer works feet, ears and armpits for seeds on every visit. River dogs do well on a groom every four to six weeks through the summer, and double coats can add a full de-shed when the spring blow starts.

Yes, the whole city: Lincoln Village, Cordova Meadows and the streets around Hagan Park on the river side, and Capital Village, the Villages of Zinfandel, Sunridge, Anatolia, Kavala Ranch and Montelena to the south. Mather, Folsom, Fair Oaks and Elk Grove share our Sacramento East routes, so an address near the city line is no problem. Travel is included in the groom price for every Rancho Cordova address; add the full address to your booking and we confirm it.
No. The van parks in your driveway for the visit, about 120 minutes, which most associations treat like any delivery or service call. If yours has a stricter rule, tell us when you book and we agree the spot before the day: a guest space, a stretch of curb or a set time window. The van brings its own warm water and power, so it needs no hose or outlet, and nothing is left behind when it pulls away.
Every four weeks through the swimming months, then every six to eight once the river cools. River water and sand settle into a lab's dense undercoat, and a coat that dries slowly on the ride home starts to smell and can irritate the skin underneath. The groomer opens with a long warm-water rinse down to the skin, washes, then blows the undercoat completely dry, and checks the ears, which trap water after a swim. Between visits, a fresh-water rinse at home after each swim helps a lot.
Yes, at every Rancho Cordova address. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet, self-contained van, one-on-one with no dogs on board: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180, each with the same care as the matching dog package. A cat that mats behind the ears or sheds hard in the valley heat does well on a regular schedule; tell us how your cat takes to handling and the groomer sets the pace.
