Your driveway is the salon. Tell us about a gate, a hill, an apartment curb or a tight street when you book, and the van shows up with a plan.
What you stop doing
Pacifica is a string of valleys running down to the ocean, tied together by Highway 1, and its dogs live on sand and salt air. A Linda Mar dog comes home from the beach gritty to the skin; a Sharp Park dog comes back from the levee damp with spray; and on a gray summer afternoon nothing in this town dries by itself. That is why a Pacifica groom starts with warm water. The van carries its own heated tank and its own power, so the first rinse is warm, the sand and salt come out before the shampoo goes on, and your dog is dried to the skin before going back through the front door. Most homes in Linda Mar, Park Pacifica and Fairmont have a driveway or a garage apron that takes the van. On the steeper streets of Vallemar, Pedro Point and the hills above Rockaway, tell us about the slope when you book and we choose a level spot together. Your dog never has to ride over the hill to a salon.

NotesPick a day, pick a time, tell us about your dog. Done. We confirm the day before.
Your groomer texts when they are on the way, then the van pulls up to your curb with its own warm water and power. No drive, no cages, no waiting room.
One groomer, one dog, start to finish. No other dogs, no crate, no rushing. You get on with your day.
About 120 min · about 180 for large dogsClean coat, trimmed nails, clean ears, fully dry, and a tail that will not stop wagging. Both handoffs together take about five minutes.
In our example salon morning, about 2 h 30 min goes to driving, traffic and the counter. With Wow My Dog, the groom happens at your curb while you get on with your day: about 5 min of handoffs, so about 2 h 30 min back.

I cannot say enough good things about Wow! My dog! I have tried several mobile groomers in the past, and honestly, none of them did a good job until now. We have both a double-coated, long-haired dog and a long-haired cat, which is already a lot of coat to manage. On top of that, our dog has sebaceous adenitis, requiring extra delicate and careful handling. I was so impressed with how clean, thoroughly dry, and beautifully groomed both of my pets came out. They handled their unique skin and coat needs with such care and expertise. I am officially putting them on a monthly bath schedule for my pets and they've earned a customer for life! Highly recommend!

Camilo did a great job with out pup! Even though she was scared of the dryer, he didn't force her to dry. If I could rate 10 out of 10 I would.

We have had a wonderful experience with Wow My Dog Mobile Grooming Service! Our groomer, Rene, does an exceptional job with our two Chihuahuas. One is long-haired and requires a little extra time and attention, and Rene is incredibly patient, thorough, and detail-oriented. Both of our dogs are comfortable with him and genuinely seem to enjoy the entire grooming experience. It is such a relief knowing they are in caring, capable hands. We highly recommend Rene and Wow My Dog!

From the start, Ingrid and team were extremely responsive and communicative. We had (at the time) 5 month old puppies and it was their first time so I wanted them to have a good experience. We had Mauricio and he was amazing! Very attentive and took good care of our pups.

Snapshot 01 · Parks
Pacifica's rule for every city beach and park is a leash at all times, with exactly two exceptions: Esplanade Beach and Sanchez Dog Park. Esplanade sits below the bluffs, reached by the stairs on Esplanade Avenue, and it is where a Pacifica dog gets to run on sand. Sanchez Dog Park is behind the Pacifica Center for the Arts at 1220 Linda Mar Boulevard and keeps short hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., or sunset if that comes first, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday and Tuesday. The city asks you to supervise children and leave dog treats and snacks outside the gate.

Snapshot 02 · Beach
Pacifica State Beach, also known as Linda Mar Beach, is open from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. during daylight saving time and 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. in fall and winter, and the city describes it as very popular with dogs, on a leash. The leash is about more than the surfers. Western snowy plovers, a federally listed shorebird, spend the winter in the dunes here, roughly mid-August to April, and the city puts up seasonal fencing north of the Crespi path entrance to protect their roosting area. Its advice for dog walkers is simple: keep the leash on and walk on the wet sand.

Snapshot 03 · Ridges
Two pieces of Golden Gate National Recreation Area sit inside Pacifica, and both take dogs on a leash. Milagra Ridge, reached by College Drive off Sharp Park Road, was an Army post from the late 1930s and Nike missile site SF-51 from 1956; it became city open space in 1974 and joined the national recreation area in 1987. It now shelters the Mission blue butterfly and the California red-legged frog, so everyone stays on the trail and every dog stays leashed. At Mori Point the rule is narrower still: leashed dogs are allowed on the Old Mori Trail, and the trailhead lot is small.
Milagra Ridge, National Park ServiceGroomer's note, coat care around Pacifica: Pacifica gives a coat the full coast treatment: sand pushed down to the skin after Linda Mar or Esplanade, salt spray that leaves the top coat stiff and dull, and fog that keeps a curly or long coat just damp enough to start matting from underneath. A beach towel never gets that out. A warm-water bath, full blow-out and brush-out rinses the sand and salt away first and finishes with a coat that is dry all the way through, and the groomer looks inside the ears, where sand and water like to sit. Doodles, shepherds and other heavy coats do best on a steady schedule here, every four to six weeks.

All of Pacifica, from the north end to the south: Fairmont, Westview, Pacific Manor, Edgemar, Sharp Park, Fairway Park, Vallemar, Rockaway Beach, Park Pacifica, Linda Mar and Pedro Point. Daly City, South San Francisco and San Bruno are on the same Peninsula routes, so an address near the city line is no problem. Share your full address when you book and we confirm it.
Every four to six weeks for a regular beach dog, with a bath-only visit in between after a week of wet sand. Sand works down to the skin and rubs, salt leaves the coat stiff, and the fog keeps everything a little damp, which is how mats start in curly and long coats. The groomer rinses with warm water until the sand is gone, shampoos, dries the coat right through and checks the ears, where sand and seawater collect. They suggest a rhythm once they have seen your dog's coat.
Yes, nearly always. Tell us about the street when you book, and we agree on a level spot before the day: your driveway or garage apron if it fits the van, otherwise a legal stretch of curb close by. The van brings its own water and power, a groom takes about 120 minutes (about 180 for a large dog), and travel is included in the groom price for every Pacifica address, Pedro Point and Vallemar included.
Yes, at every Pacifica address. Cat grooming happens in the same quiet, self-contained van, one-on-one with no dogs aboard: a Cat Bath is a flat $140 and a Cat Bath + Haircut a flat $180. You carry your cat out in a carrier, the groomer works at your curb, and your cat comes back in about two hours, dry. On the coast, long-haired cats tend to mat behind the ears and under the legs; mention it when you book and the groomer plans for it.
